- BROWNIE
Brownie is a very sweet guy who has impeccable house manners, plays fetch, comes on a dime and is quick to learn. He rides very well in the truck and does not have any food aggression issues. He does have issues with being bit fearful and unsure of new people and situations. When he can't get to what interests him, he will become agitated and direct his frustration at whatever or whoever is near him. A structured environment where the whole family uses the same language, training is a must. Someone interested in enrolling in positive clicker trainer would be perfect for Brownie. No young children, as Brownie is a bit too rambunctious and unsure. He is a great little guy, just needs exercise, attention and continued guidance on how to behave.

- DODGER
One blue eye, one brown eye...he's a handsome collie indeed. Dodger likes other dogs, likes to ride in the car and is full of energy. He would REQUIRE a fenced in yard, as his herding instinct sometime gets the best of him and he'll chase!
His history is a bit sketchy, and we aren't sure if he likes cats, but with his desire to chase, a home without cats, or small children would be best. He is housebroken and has good manners. A family that has time for exercise, playtime and some training would enjoy having Dogder.
If you are interested in Dodger, please call: 802.368.7910. Approved applicants will only be considered.

- HAPPY Courtesy Posting
Please note that this is a courtesy posting. Happy is not with Collie Rescue League of New England and inquires must be made to the phone number below.
Happy is just that......HAPPY. This sweet boy is blind but that doesn't stop him from enjoying life. He loves to be brushed, loves to be 'talked' to, enjoys nothing better than to be by your side. Once he becomes familiar with his surroundings, he can navigate through a room without a problem.
Happy was found by a highway and taken to a shelter. He spent many months waiting for someone to adopt him. A good hearted, loving person brought Happy to their home. But unfortunately, Happy is quite frightened of other dogs and cats and needs to find a home where he is the only dog. Neutered and UTD on all vaccines, this sweet boy needs a home where he can soak up all the love that a family can give.
If you are interested in Happy or would like more information, please call 508.394.1807. Happy is in Massachusetts.

- JAKE
Meet Mr. Jake! A very playful, independent and wise collie, is he. Jake came to CRLNE when his owners divorced and he had too many months of being alone.
Jake was allowed to roam so has a bit of an 'independent' streak. He loves to play, walks very well on a leash, rides well in a car, gets along with cats and other laid-back dogs. Older children would be better as he can get rambunctious in his play.
Wary of new people at first, a kind and gentle approach will turn him into a lovebug. He loves to be around people, as being alone for long periods of time frightens him. Jake knows basic commands and is completely housebroken. Slightly underweight a good diet with high quality food will put weight on him the healthy way.
A fenced in yard would be ideal with a family that is home more than away.

Laszlo is a laid back, sweet gentleman. He is a big collie, and a bit overweight. His coat is still growing in, as it had been cut quite short.
Laszlo gets along with cats and dogs, but mostly likes to be with his people. He is calm, enjoys his dog bed and is a gentleman through and through. Housebroken and has good manners.
He gets anxious when left alone for long periods of time, so a home with other dogs or a work at home owner would be ideal!

- LUKE MEDICAL ISSUES,NOW IN PERMANENT FOSTER CARE
- Luke came into CRLNE from a 'rescue' friendly shelter. He had been picked up as a stray. His exact age is not known but he's at least 10 years old.
His foster mom says he a wonderful dog to have around. He is very mellow, but he isn’t very expressive. He shows his interest by a small nudge, keeping close. He is excellent with young children, unless they accidentally step on him (i.e., toddlers). Luke likes to be groomed and will need a family to keep his coat healthy and clean. Being a senior, he does like to lie on his bed, napping and enjoying his surroundings. He gets along with dogs, cats but doesn't really play. He really is just about perfect as a household member.

Click HERE to view what Molly has learned so far! (2/8/10) Click HERE to view Molly with her foster siblings!
This sweet collie has the smarts to match her beauty! Molly came to us after her owner became ill and her family could no longer care for her. Because her original owner was elderly, Molly did not receive the basic social skills in her puppy stage.
Because of her lack of confidence; she takes time to warm up to new people and places. But once she knows you or the place, she is very happy and loving. And because she is anxious and nervous, she cannot be around small children, as they compound her anxiety.
Molly likes to play with the other dogs in her foster home, loves her people, likes to ride in the car, but likes to 'talk' to the other car and it's occupants. And speaking of cars, Molly MUST have a fenced in yard, as she would chase cars if allowed.
She knows basic commands, loves her crate, and is completely housebroken. Very fast and agile, she could be an agility dog or other sport with a knowledgeable trainer. Easily trained with soft, positive methods, this would be a great confidence booster.

- PERCY Courtesy Posting,NEW Photo & Write-Up
This is a courtesy posting for one of our members. Please call the phone number listed in the write-up to inquire about Percy, he is not with the League.
Percy is a handsome, friendly ,outgoing guy. He is very willing to please and responds best to positive reinforcement. He knows basic obedience and has a Rally title. He walks best on a halti.
Percy is an energetic collie and can be a bit rambunctious when playing so a home with older dog savvy children is best. He rides well in a car, is not a big barker and is completely housebroken. He is neutered, UTD on all vaccines and is healthy.
He wants to be 'top male' in the house so a home with a female dog would be fine, or as an only dog. A home that is quiet and stable is ideal. He needs an experienced dog owner who will guide him and keep up with his training. A fenced yard is mandatory.
Percy loves walks and is fine meeting other dogs. If you would like more information on Percy, please call 802.368.7910. Qualified applicants will only be considered.
